The Copper Forest (El Bosque de Cobre). English subtitles

The Serranía de Ronda offers one of the most impressive autumn landscapes in the inland of the Province of Málaga. Once a year nature gives us the opportunity to enjoy mountains covered in brown, yellow, orange and ochre chestnut leaves. This area mostly belongs to the Genal Valley, which forms the Serranía de Ronda’s mountainous scenery with two other large surfaces, the plateau and the Guadiaro Valley. Its rugged terrain with steep slopes gets flatter in the area close to the border with Gibraltar, the Costa del Sol and Antequera Plain. Thevillages Alpandeire, Benalauría, Cartajima, Faraján, Genalguacil, Igualeja, Jubrique, Júzcar, Parauta, Pujerra et Yunquera, that belong to this area, have a very long tradition related to chestnut trees. You can visit them at any time of the year and see wonderful landscapes, taste excellent dishes and participate in many of theirs celebrations, some of which are considered to be unique festivities of tourist interest in the Province of Málaga.
