Málaga is a province in the Mediterranean Andalusia, which is a decisive factor to bear in mind when explaining the features of its surroundings. These were mostly shaped by human activity that has kept balance for ages, above all in protected areas, or they are of great environmental significance. There are also farming or urban areas which are important for understanding the routes of the Great Málaga Path, which consist of trails, livestock tracks, lanes and ways with age-old traces from different times printed on them.
