UNIQUENESS
Arcos del Capellán is unique tourist accommodation, integrated into the archaeological remains of an Andalusian farmstead. The house is restored over an arcade made of Nazarite bricks, part of an old cellar which contains old decorative pottery and crafts made of esparto grass.
CHARACTERISTICS
This house-museum stands in the middle of the mountain, and is surrounded by orchards, an ecological garden, and olive, almond and citrus trees.
The house is divided in four independent sections in different sizes, which are built around a central patio with a fountain. The space is decorated with farm tools, crafts made of esparto, pottery, woodwork, paintings, murals, and architectural grotesque heads.
LOCATION
It is placed in the Municipality of Ardales, on the border with Casarabonela and Carratraca, and halfway between the reservoirs of Guadalhorce and Guadalteba and the Sierra de las Nieves Nature Park.
