GR 249. Stage 35. Alhaurín de la Torre - Málaga
On November 23, 2020, the General Directorate of Water Infrastructures of the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Sustainable Development of the Junta de Andalucía, approved the "CONSTRUCTION PROJECT FOR THE DEFENSE ACTIONS OF THE GUADALHORCE AGAINST FLOODS IN THE TM OF MALAGA”, KEY A6.429.613/2111.
On January 20, 2021, the works have begun.
The works in the Hydraulic Public Domain included in said project aim to improve the current structural measures in the Lower Guadalhorce to avoid serious risks to people or high economic damage, proposed as a safeguard for consolidated urban areas and existing infrastructures, with solutions that minimize risks.
Once the execution of the works has been tendered and awarded for a term of 16 months of execution, it is necessary to divert the existing pedestrian and bicycle traffic through the GR 249 stage 35 and the GR 248 stage 4.
A sketch of the current deviation is attached, as the works progress we will communicate the possible deviations.
